For years we've all been told that too much stomach acid causes acid reflux...
But we've known for over 20 years that insufficient acid is actually whats causing most reflux...
That hidden infections like H pylori or yeast overgrowth also interfere with the lower esophageal sphincter, to allow acid back up.
But did you know the problem may actually be coming from your MOUTH and not your stomach...
This is one of the reasons it can cause swallowing issues, feeling like something is stuck in your throat or causing a globus sensation.
The two major causes of acid reflux, Helicobacter pylori and yeast are BOTH organisms that can survive in the oral cavity. Yet, no medical professional ever checks those areas.
A paper from 2014 titled, "Helicobacter pylori colonization of the oral cavity" talks about how difficult H pylori is to eradicate in the mouth and may be a source of RE-INFECTION in the stomach.
So even after you've cleared the issue, it can come back again.
Here is what I've been recommending my clients do.
1. OPEN UP the PyloPurge capsules into water and swish them around your mouth. If swallowing the tablets whole has not given relief, you MUST do this before you can rule out H pylori.
2. Buy a new toothbrush after using PyloPurge. H pylori can hide out there.
3. Floss every single day without fail. This will reduce the areas of plaque H pylori can live and surprisingly, is also shown to reduce cardiovascular disease, the number one killer in the world.
4. Book a hygenist appointment asap. As Benjamin Franklin said, "an once of prevention is worth a pound of cure".
5. Use a high xylitol chewing gum to help grow the beneficial bacteria which can help keep H pylori and yeast in check.
Hopefully those tips are helpful! Let me know how you get on with them!
